Job Summary:

The Appraisal Reviewer is responsible for reviewing real estate appraisals and valuations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The role requires a thorough understanding of appraisal standards and forms 1004,1073, 1025, 1004C, 1075 etc.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review Appraisals:
• Examine real estate appraisals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assess appraisers' methodologies and findings, ensuring they align with market data and the property's characteristics.
• Ensure appraisals adhere to internal guidelines and external regulatory standards (e.g., USPAP, HVCC, FIRREA).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to appraisals and real estate transactions.
• Identify potential risks or discrepancies in appraisals, such as over- or under-valuations, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
• Provide Rejection points and guidance to appraisers, brokers, and clients on appraisal issues and discrepancies.
• Act as a point of contact for internal departments, clients, and third-party appraisers to ensure smooth appraisal processes.
• Prepare detailed reports on appraisals reviewed, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Continuously improve knowledge of appraisal standards and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in any stream
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in US real estate appraisal forms 1004,1073, 1025, 1004C, 1075 etc.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of real estate appraisal methods and techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex data and appraisal documents.
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting rejections.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
