Job Description

Actively drive and support in the Construction Supervision and Site Level Project Management of all various development / infra Projects to be implemented at the Airport under P&E Department which will primarily include small-medium scale building works, Improvement/ modification works in existing facilities at the New Goa International Airport, Goa. Several projects will be taken-up in parallel, and value of such projects will be anything up to 50cr INR. The activities would include supporting the Project Manager / CPEO (including external consultants and Project management team) for day to day Construction supervision, site management, contractors coordination etc. complete as per the requirements of GGIAL, particularly w.r.t Mechanical/ FDP and Electrical works

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators

Procurement management: -

Assist in Finalizing tender specifications, drawings and BOQs for procurement.

Assist the procurement team with Technical and Commercial inputs in tendering, vendor evaluation and finalization for all packages related to Civil, Structural, Roads and utilities. In/on-time Procurement, Cost compliance while ensuring quality of selection.

Compliance:

Health Safety environment and regulatory compliances - Assist and work with the management for effective deployment of safety policy and achieve the safety objectives and targets /goals.

Monitor contractors compliances to all related statutory regulations and report HOD and HR accordingly Zero Non Compliance

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional Details

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Stakeholders including DGCA, ICAO, Airlines, CISF, Ground Handlers and other Concessionaires
State and Central Government and regulatory bodies such as Pollution Control Board, NAC etc.
All Contractors
Original Equipment Manufacturers and suppliers

Cross Functional team to understand the needs for achieving common goals
Interact with colleagues / peers in the business
Interact with team members on a regular basis to understand and encourage them to achieve departmental goals
Lead the team for process improvement activities

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Should be capable to supervise various small/ medium scale projects with value of upto INR 50 Crores

OTHER DIMENSIONS

Should be able to independently supervise and manage site level development activities of various infra projects such as buildings, structures, roads, utilities, etc. through proper Project Management practices
Should be process driven and well versed with the Mechanical/ Electrical related works at projects
Should display strong qualities with emphasis on site level coordination, stakeholder management, contractor/ labour management and good communication skills.
Conversant with the contract terms & conditions.
Conversant with National Building Code of India (relevant segments), Local building regulations, Fire dept. regulations for High rise buildings, Compliance to Statutory norms.

Conversant with the green building norms, ISO and OSHAS standards

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

8 + years of total experience with at least 4 years of experience in Project Management / Site Level Execution works at Airport Structures, Mechanical/ Electrical works (High side as well as low side) at various Infrastructure projects
