Job Description

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for technical training programs and services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional training offerings.
  • New Business Development: Prospect and acquire new clients by identifying target industries and key decision-makers, generating leads, and conducting sales presentations and negotiations.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team, set performance targets, provide coaching and training, and monitor their progress toward achieving individual and team sales goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the technical training programs offered, including their features, benefits, and applications, to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to develop competitive sales strategies and position our offerings effectively.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, sales collateral, and campaigns to support sales efforts.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to keep the management team informed about sales performance and progress towards targets.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from clients regarding training program satisfaction, and relay this information to the training team for continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Work with the finance department to develop and manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.

Competency Requirements:

  • Technical Training Expertise: Strong understanding of technical training programs, particularly in fields such as engineering, information technology, manufacturing, or other technical industries.
  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably in the technical training or corporate training industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team, setting clear goals and providing guidance to drive performance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and tailor communication to various stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer-centric approach, with the ability to understand client needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation abilities to close deals and secure contracts with clients.
  • Market Awareness: A keen eye for market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to capitalize on sales opportunities.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client concerns and overcome sales obstacles.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, training, and finance, to achieve common objectives.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust sales strategies based on market dynamics and client requirements.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of financial metrics, budget management, and business planning.

Experience requirements:

10 years of experience with a technical background or prior experience in technical training sales is highly desirable.
