Job Description:
Objective:
- The Sales Director is responsible for spearheading the business strategy to achieve a 5X growth target in the next- 3-5 years over the current business performance.
- This position involves leading a team of 15 direct reports and 10 indirect resources, developing robust business plans, and ensuring operational excellence to drive profitability and market share growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to achieve 5X growth within the defined timeline.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and growth channels.
- Drive innovation in products, services, and go-to-market strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with regional/global leadership to align country goals with broader organizational objectives.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of 15 direct and 10 indirect resources across various functions (sales, marketing, operations, finance, etc.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members to achieve individual and collective success.
Market Development:
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at key industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the implementation of systems and processes to support scalable growth.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with business expansion.
Key Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in [Security & Building Technology or Smart Technology Industry].
- Proven track record of driving significant business growth in similar environments.
- Experience managing diverse teams across functions and geographies.
Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Education:
- B Tech (Electronics, Mechtronics, Computers, & Electrical) & Masters (MBA preferred).
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the country as required.
- Familiarity with local market conditions and regulatory environment.
Key Performance Metrics:
- Achievement of 5X revenue growth within the stipulated time frame.
- Team engagement and retention rates.
- Market share increase and customer satisfaction scores.
- Adherence to budgetary and compliance requirements.
