Droom - Associate/Senior Associate - Corporate Development/Investor Relations (3-8 yrs)

Associate or Sr Associate Corporate Development IR | 3+ years | Gurgaon

Location: Gurgaon, NCR

Droom is seeking a Corporate Development and Investor Relations professional with an exceptional pedigree to join our dynamic team. This role will involve collaborating closely with the founder to support capital raising activities, strategic initiatives, and investor relations efforts.

For the Corp Dev and IR role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following profile:

1: Candidates with an undergraduate degree from SRC, Seerdnam, St. Stephen's, or one of the top 6 IITs, with plans to pursue an MBA in the USA after 2 years. They should be exceptionally intelligent, possibly holding a rank or significant academic achievement, and currently working with an accelerator or a smaller/lesser-known VC.

2: Candidates with a master's degree and relevant work experience in transaction advisory practices with firms such as EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Grant Thornton, Bain, BCG, or McKinsey.

Not seeking candidates from VC, PE, or investment banking firms.

Skills and Expertise:

- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, M&A, joint ventures, and investor relations.

- Experience in preparing pitch decks, investor roadshows, and corporate presentations.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare investor presentations, pitch decks, and financial models to support capital raising activities.

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Perform valuation analysis to assess business opportunities and investments.

- Support due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, partnerships, or investments.

- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support corporate development initiatives.

- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and industry research to identify trends and opportunities.

- Stay abreast of industry developments and market trends to inform strategic planning.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field; MBA from Ivy League colleges such as IIMs, ISB, or similar prestigious institutions preferred.

- 2-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, big four, or management consulting.

- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

- Relationship-building and networking abilities.

- Domain knowledge in E-Commerce, marketplaces, automobile, SaaS, tech products/solutions, consumer tech.

- Scholar profile with demonstrated academic excellence.
