Job Description: Software Architect

Role:

The Software Architect is responsible for designing the high-level structure of the Management Information System (MIS). They will determine the platform, technology stack, and frameworks that align with the companys requirements while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

Assess organisational needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Define the architecture of the system, including whether it should be web-based, desktop-based, mobile, or hybrid.

Select appropriate technologies, programming languages, databases, and cloud services (if applicable).

Ensure the architecture is scalable, maintainable, and supports future business needs.

Oversee the integration of databases, APIs, and third-party applications.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.

Perform risk assessment and mitigation strategies during the system's design phase.

Create and maintain technical documentation for the architecture and design.

Conduct code reviews to ensure architectural compliance and best practices.

Skills Required:

Strong proficiency in software architecture and design patterns.

Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

In-depth knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and application integration techniques.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices.

Problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset to address business challenges.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.

Experience Level:

8–12 years of experience in software development, with at least 4–5 years specializing in software architecture and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in designing and deploying enterprise-level software solutions.

Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
