Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha (in office)

Experience: Minimum 2 years with a reputed designer brand

Key Responsibilities:1. Design & Product Development:

• Work closely with the creative director to develop seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with Tarinas design ethos.
• Innovate within traditional weaving techniques like Jamdani and Ikat to create fresh, contemporary designs.
• Develop sketches, mood boards, and tech packs for production.
• Collaborate with artisans and weavers to translate design concepts into finished textiles.
• Ensure quality control at every stage, from fabric development to final stitching.

2. Production & Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations at the production unit, ensuring smooth workflow and timely execution.
• Manage a team of tailors, artisans, and support staff, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Monitor and optimize production timelines to meet deadlines for exhibitions, pop-ups, and multi-designer stores.
• Maintain detailed records of inventory, raw materials, and finished goods.

3. Sourcing & Vendor Management:

• Identify and build relationships with suppliers, weavers, and artisans across India.
• Source high-quality sustainable fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with the brand’s vision.
• Negotiate costs and ensure timely procurement of materials.

4. Social Media & Marketing Support:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to curate engaging content showcasing the design process, craftsmanship, and collections.
• Manage behind-the-scenes content for social media, including fabric selection, weaving techniques, and production updates.
• Assist in styling and coordinating shoots for campaigns, lookbooks, and e-commerce.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with a reputed designer brand.
• Strong understanding of Indian textiles, handloom weaving techniques, and embroidery.
• Hands-on experience in garment production, pattern-making, and draping.
• Ability to manage a team and oversee end-to-end production processes.
• A keen eye for detail, color, and fabric combinations.
• Proficiency in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Passionate about slow fashion, sustainability, and artisanal craftsmanship.
