Job Description
Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization
Candidate needs the competencies, skill sets, experience profile and professional maturity in Airports and specifically Airside projects to deliver the portfolio of a highly complex bid management process and then subsequent successful execution of any awarded Project; managing and delegating all departmental and functional disciplines including Safety, Commercial, Planning, QA/QC, Specialised Engineering disciplines, Planning, Commissioning, etc. Dealing and negotiating with executive Steering Committee Board members, High-level Client Teams, CEO s of specialist suppliers and other entities, leveraging VIP relationships and navigating the political environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure the Project Team adheres to the high standards of Health and Safety management required by the Honeywell organisation, the Airports team and our customers.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of complex Airport projects to the required quality, schedule and budget
- Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Ensure the use of both Management Operating Systems and standard Honeywell project processes and tools.
- Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell s exposure is minimised and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.
- Direct the day to day and term planning of operations for the Project teams and functional Leads.
- Developing trust and manage the relationship with customers in ensuring that a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained.
- Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders
- Lead all change management, delay (EOT) management and contractual claims and manage together with the Commercial-Contract Manager/Quantity Surveyor.
- Define all subcontract/supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary
- Undertake financial and operational reviews monthly on Airports projects within the area of responsibility.
- Drive project team to maintain Estimated Actual Cost at completion
- Ensure the designed and installed solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.
- Devise and implement risk management programs and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies are implemented and communicated to management on a regular basis
- Undertake detailed planning, scheduling and reporting of the project to manage resource allocation, avoid bottlenecks and adhere to early warning and intervention systems as detailed in the GMP Management Operating System.
- Report to General Manager, Projects on project progress and relevant issues on a regular basis
- Identify and pursue in conjunction with the account manager any further business opportunities with the customer. Drive and propose new variations.
- Drive the project team to minimise the cost of labour in delivering a successful project through the use of low cost resources while minimising defects and rework.
- Facilitate the project team s achievement of goals and objectives.

- Customer Survey KPI/Net Promoter Score (NPS) (satisfaction, Advocacy).

- Zero or Positive Project Gross Margin Deviation
- Overbill and Positive Working Capital
- Billing on all GMP projects to be in line with cashflow approved at bid (eCAP) and the contractual terms.
- Undertake financial and operational reviews monthly on GMP projects within the area of responsibility.
Job Specifications
General

Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical /ELV Engineering, Information Technology or similar.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management are preferred
- Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous.
Experience
- Over 15 years proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning.
- Over 10 years experience in managing brownfield Airport (Airside) projects (AFL, Ground Radar, CMS, ASMGCS & VDGS)
- Proven project experience design and execution involving multiple Airside technologies such as AFL cabling, electrical systems and ICT technologies.
- Proven ability to develop and lead multiple teams.
- Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives.
- Proven commercial/contractual acumen.
- Proven Bid Management experience & Process Understanding.
Professional Skills / Knowledge
- Excellent computer, written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of Airport airside operations, technology and external environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
