Truecaller - Quality Assurance Engineer (3-4 yrs)

Job Description

As a QA Engineer in Growth Hacking team, you will be played a key role in assuring and improving our product quality, making sure that we are giving a world class experience to our users. Your responsibilities include taking the ownership of planning and maintaining our testing processes and structures. You will be part of a cross-functional team and work closely with the whole development team, fellow Test Engineers, and Product Owners.

What you bring in:

- 3-4 years of experience.

- Experience with Issue & Project Tracking Software - JIRA

- Experience in tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, Firebase, crashlytics, or similar.

- Experience primarily in mobile testing, with web testing as an added advantage.

- Knowledge of ADB Commands.

- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing, primarily for mobile applications, to identify bottlenecks and enhance system efficiency.

- Experience in testing in a medium or large-scale agile software development environment.

- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

- Basic SQL knowledge

- Familiarity with mobile testing across different Android devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions.

The impact you will create :

- Develop test strategies for user stories

- Create and document test cases and product flow.

- Identify test activities and test dependencies that span across the backend and frontend domain to ensure the end-to-end quality.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders. It would be great if you also have:

- Exposure to mobile performance testing tools like JMeter or Googles Firebase Performance Monitoring to identify performance bottlenecks.

- Experience in querying databases and verifying backend data using SQL or similar query languages.

- Experience using Android profiling tools such as Android Profiler, Systrace or any other tools to identify performance issues.

- Understanding app distribution processes via Google Play Store, Firebase remote

config or similar platforms for beta testing and release management.
