Job Summary:
The Sales Strategist is a key member of the Sales & Business Development team responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
This role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and strategic thinker with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new market opportunities, target customer segments, and competitive advantages.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date market intelligence reports.
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market conditions.
- Define target markets, customer personas, and value propositions.
- Develop and refine sales processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress towards sales goals.
Sales Forecasting & Planning:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
- Conduct sales pipeline analysis and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to maximize sales productivity.
Sales Enablement:
- Develop and deliver sales training programs to equip sales teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to sales representatives.
- Develop and maintain sales collateral, including presentations, proposals, and case studies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Identify and address customer needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g, marketing, product development) to ensure customer satisfaction.
Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor competitor activities and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop strategies to differentiate the company and gain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales strategy, business development, or a related field.
Skills:
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
- Market Research & Analysis: Expertise in market research methodologies, data analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Sales Forecasting & Planning: Proven ability to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
- Sales Enablement: Experience in developing and delivering sales training programs.
- Communication & Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g, Excel, Salesforce, Tableau).
- Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
