VBA Automation Developer (2-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic VBA Automation Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VBA/Macros development, with a proven track record of automating tasks and improving efficiency.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining VBA solutions within Excel and other applications, as well as contributing to broader automation initiatives.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain robust and efficient VBA macros within Excel to automate repetitive tasks, data manipulation, and reporting processes.

- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

- Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot and debug existing VBA code, identifying and resolving issues.

- Create and maintain clear documentation for all developed solutions.

- Work with Power BI/Power Query to integrate data and create insightful reports.

- Explore and evaluate new automation tools and technologies to enhance our capabilities.

- Contribute to the development of best practices for VBA development and automation.

- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in VBA, automation, and related technologies.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

- Bachelor's degree (BCA/BCS/BSc in Computer Science, MCA in Information Systems, or a related field) or equivalent practical experience.

- Proven expertise in Excel VBA macro coding and scripting.

- Demonstrable experience in developing complex and efficient VBA solutions.

- Intermediate proficiency in Power BI/Power Query, including data transformation and report creation.

- Strong understanding of Excel object model and VBA programming concepts.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication (email & verbal) and documentation skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Added Advantage (Preferred Skills) :

- Experience with RPA tools (e., Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UI Path).

- Knowledge of other scripting languages (e., AutoIT, Python, Selenium WebDriver).

- Hands-on coding experience in web technologies (e., JavaScript, .NET framework, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, C#).

- Experience with database technologies (e., SQL, Oracle)
