Data Quality & ETL Consultant (5-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Quality & ETL Consultant to join our dynamic team.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data across our organization.

You will leverage your expertise in data quality tools and methodologies to design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Quality Assessment & Improvement :

- Perform in-depth data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues (e.g, duplicates, inconsistencies, missing values).

- Develop and implement data quality rules and standards using industry-best practices and tools.

- Monitor and analyze data quality metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to resolve data quality issues effectively.

ETL Development & Maintenance :

- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using industry-standard tools (e.g, Informatica PowerCenter, Talend).

- Optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related issues promptly.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the ETL process.

Data Governance & Compliance :

- Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with relevant data quality and regulatory requirements (e.g, GDPR, CCPA).

- Promote data quality awareness and best practices within the organization.

Data Documentation & Communication :

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and data quality rules.

- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 5+ years of experience in data quality and ETL roles.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell).

- Expertise in ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or similar).

- Hands-on experience with data quality tools (Informatica Data Quality, Talend Data Quality, or similar).

- Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable :

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of data modeling and database design.

- Experience with Agile methodologies.

- Relevant certifications (e.g, Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality)
