L2 Infrastructure Engineer - Linux Patching (5-9 yrs)

JOB DESCRIPTION (DETAILED) :

- Experienced Linux Server Patching Engineer with a strong background in managing and maintaining RedHat, SLES, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating, deploying, and troubleshooting patches and vulnerabilities on Linux servers while ensuring adherence to best practices in vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Coordinate, deploy, and troubleshoot patches and vulnerabilities on Linux servers running RedHat, SLES, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.

- Possess a good understanding of vulnerability management practices and familiarity with CVE scoring to prioritize patch deployments effectively.

- Utilize Python scripting skills for automation tasks related to patch management processes.

- Employ Ansible AWX for efficient configuration management and automation of patching procedures.

- Provide suggestions for scanning improvement based on the analysis of vulnerability scanner data.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful patch deployments without disrupting business operations.

- Lead fellow engineers troubleshooting patching failures and provide technical guidance
