Job Title: Event Sponsorship Manager/Sr. Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Event Sponsorship Manager to join our team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sponsorship sales, concept and solution-based selling, and the ability to build and nurture relationships within the FMCG/FMCD, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) and Technology ecosystems, as well as the startup community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate account management and be able to drive high-value sponsorship deals that contribute to the overall P&L of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sponsorship Sales & Event Concept Selling:
- Drive the identification to pitch & closure of sponsorship sales strategies for corporate events, conferences, and summits.
- Identify, engage, and secure sponsorship deals by developing tailored event-based solutions that align with sponsor goals and organizational needs.
- Utilize solution-based selling techniques to build high-impact sponsorship packages that deliver clear ROI for corporate sponsors.
Corporate Account Mapping & Penetration:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify and map key corporate accounts within the BFSI, Technology, and Startup sectors.
- Develop a strategic approach to penetrate target companies and establish long-term sponsorship partnerships.
- Build and maintain a network of senior decision-makers across relevant sectors to create opportunities for ongoing event sponsorships.
Relationship Management:
- Foster strong interpersonal relationships with clients and corporate sponsors within the BFSI, Technology, and Startup ecosystems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional client service throughout the event sponsorship lifecycle.
Negotiation & Deal Structuring:
- Lead negotiations for high-value sponsorship agreements, ensuring that all deals align with the company's P&L objectives and financial targets.
- Drive solution-based deals that prioritize long-term value creation for both the sponsor and the organization.
- Develop customized sponsorship packages with a clear focus on deliverables, value proposition, and mutual growth.
Financial Performance & P&L Management:
- Prioritize the financial health of the sponsorship deals, ensuring alignment with company P&L objectives.
- Work closely with internal teams (event production, marketing, etc.) to ensure that sponsorship commitments are delivered within budget and generate revenue growth.
Market Insights & Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities within the BFSI and Technology sectors.
- Leverage market insights to continuously refine sponsorship strategies and create innovative solutions that attract new sponsors.
- Lead Gen & Nurturing: Preferably having inroads & relationships with ability to drive Lead Generation & funnel for pitches & nurturing.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in sponsorship sales, event concept selling, or solution-based sales, preferably within the BFSI, Technology, or Startup ecosystems.
- Corporate Account Management: Proven experience in corporate account mapping and penetration, with established relationships within the BFSI, Technology, and Startup sectors.
- Sales Track Record: A demonstrable track record of achieving sponsorship sales targets and driving revenue growth through successful event sponsorship deals.
- P&L Management: Strong financial acumen with the ability to structure deals that align with company profitability goals.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with a proven ability to secure high-value sponsorship agreements.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and client management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Solution-Based Selling: Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset for developing customized, solution-based sponsorship packages.
