AWS Senior Data Engineer

• Design, build andoperationalize large scale enterprise data solutions and applications using oneor more of AWS data and analytics services.
• Design and buildproduction data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big-dataarchitecture, using any programming language like Java, Python, Scala.
• Design andimplement data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on AWS cloud usingAWS native or custom programming.
• Perform detailassessments of current state data platforms and create anappropriate transition path to AWS cloud.
• Design, implement and support an analytical data infrastructureproviding ad-hoc access to large datasets and computing power
• Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and loaddata from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big datatechnologies.
• Creation and support of real-time data pipelines built on AWStechnologies including Glue, Redshift/Spectrum, Kinesis, EMR and Athena
• Working closely with team members to drive real-time and batch modelimplementations for monitoring and alerting of risk systems.
• Collaborate with other tech teams to implement advanced analyticsalgorithms that exploit our rich datasets for statistical analysis, prediction,clustering and machine learning.
• Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes,automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.

Required Skills:

• 5+ year experienceof working in AWS components like S3, EC2, Redshift, RDS, EMR, AWSGlus..
• Experiencebuilding and maintaining cloud-native applications
• Experienceusing DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible,Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, orSonar Qube
• Expertise in data modeling, datawarehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of oneor more of the most-used programming languages available for today s cloudcomputing (i.e., SQL data, XML data, R math, Clojure math, Haskell functional,Erlang functional, Python procedural, and Go procedural languages)
• Experience introubleshooting distributed systems
• Proficiency inscript development and scripting languages
• Excellent programmingskills with SQL and Python
• The ability andskill to train other people in procedural and technical topics
• Strongcommunication, Analytical and collaboration skills
• Preferable AWS ProfessionalData Engineer certification.
