The Laundry Attendant is responsible for staff uniforms, guest laundry, sorting and proper recording of linens and towels prior to processing.
What will I be doing
As a Laundry Associate, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Responsible for picking up and delivery of in-house guest laundry.
Responsible for delivering all guest laundry punctually, accurately and in a professional and courteous way.
Collect laundry and dry cleaning bags from guest rooms and ensure that guest name, room number and laundry pieces are listed.
Count and verify all items collected as per laundry price lists signed by the guest and note down any discrepancy or damages on the same sheet and immediately report to Laundry Supervisor.
Check all items for damage or stains and immediately report to Laundry Supervisor before processing.
Report immediately to the Laundry Supervisor in case any valuable items like cash, jewelry, credit cards etc. are found in guests cloth pockets.
Sorts and records dirty linens, towels, rugs, robes and F&B items before sending to laundry.
Proper recording of cleaned linen received from main laundry room.
Examine quality finishes of laundered linen and placed on shelves.
Take care of small repairs such as sewing buttons, hem and etc. when necessary.
Distribute linen and keep proper records for other departments.
Proper recording of discarded linen and uniforms.
Report any technical problems or deficiencies to the Laundry Supervisor.
Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications.
Record assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned.
Inspect uniforms for damage and remove substandard uniforms from circulation and issue replacements.
