Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of NOC to lead and manage the Network Operations Center (NOC) for a large-scale fiber network infrastructure project in Punjab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring 24/7 network monitoring, fault management, incident resolution, and overall operational efficiency of the fiber network. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive strategic improvements in network performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee real-time network monitoring, fault detection, and issue resolution.
• Ensure network uptime, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Develop and implement incident management processes, escalation matrices, and SLAs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive preventive maintenance strategies.

2. Team Leadership & NOC Management

• Lead and mentor a team of NOC engineers, technicians, and network analysts.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices for efficient network operations.
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of the NOC team for proactive network management.

3. Incident & Fault Management

• Respond to and coordinate resolution of major network incidents, outages, and degradations.
• Collaborate with field teams, vendors, and technology partners to restore network performance.
• Implement ticketing systems and performance monitoring tools for streamlined operations.

4. Network Performance & Optimization

• Monitor and analyze network KPIs, traffic patterns, and capacity utilization.
• Identify and implement network enhancements and optimizations.
• Work with engineering teams to plan for network expansion and upgrades.

5. Compliance, Security & Risk Management

• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to telecom industry standards.
• Implement network security protocols, risk assessments, and disaster recovery plans.

6. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on network performance and issue resolution.
• Communicate network health updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic insights to leadership for budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.

Key Requirements:

1. Education & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in NOC operations, network management, and telecom infrastructure.
• Proven experience in managing fiber optic networks, FTTH, GPON, and DWDM technologies.

2. Technical Skills:

• Expertise in network monitoring tools (NMS), GIS mapping, and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optics, OLT, ONT, and transmission technologies.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, and IP routing protocols.
• Experience in fault detection, performance tuning, and preventive maintenance.

3. Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Strong team management, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to handle critical incidents under pressure and drive quick resolutions.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNP / JNCIA / ITIL / PMP (Preferred but not mandatory).
