Define database standards and architecture

Prepare and lead quarterly capacity reviews, covering but not limited to current period growth, trends, next period forecast, concerns and replenishment recommendations
Define rapid or on-demand capacity provisioning strategy, including methodology for maintaining surplus capacity
Provide capacity replenishment recommendations in line with quarterly capacity reviews and on-demand provisioning strategy
Provide access to real-time capacity metrics and ad-hoc capacity planning reports

Define process for adding additional capacity
Operations Management
Installation, Migration and Up gradation of databases based on CUSTOMER requirements.
Create & manage ASM file system.
Review Oracle Quarterly Patches and determine impact to CUSTOMER DB environment. Plan, schedule and coordinate database patching
Keep track/inventory of all the database instances in CUSTOMER environment monthly (including Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL) and produce a report.
Change Management
Create tables and indexes per application requirements - (after data architecture review by CUSTOMER )
Coordination with Business & IT
Monitor, diagnose and resolve database issues related to but not limited to installation, configuration and performance
Support data export and import requirements
Create copies of data/ databases as requested
Perform database refresh
Create and maintain database links
Plan table space maintenance
Execute table space maintenance
Monitor and manage database space
Maintain database inventory
Create and maintain indexes per CUSTOMER requirements
Maintain TNSNAMES as needed
Support database hot & cold backups
Create and manage database security and user permissions
Approval for database security and user permissions
Create and manage database user ids
Approval for creating user ids
Configure and manage database audit profiles
Perform database recovery as per procedures
Perform database tuning on an ongoing basis
Perform database maintenance per CUSTOMER requirements and schedule
Assist application debugging utilizing database logs and traces
Recommend database performance improvement measures on an ongoing basis as per OEM & SCOM
Oracle Enterprise Manager Management Server Administration
patch & upgrade OEM manager as needed.
OID Management (including replication server)
patch & upgrade OID as needed.
RMAN Catalog & Script Management
Configure & schedule RMAN backups
test/verify RMAN backups.
Monitoring & Administration of DBASS (PDB & CBD) databases
Support APEX on Autonomous Database
Create DB links from/to APEX application.
Configure APEX for AZURE SSO.
Listener Administration
Address critical and warning alerts displayed in OEM
Address metric collection errors in OEM
Review OEM Policy Violations and come up with recommendations to CUSTOMER team on how best to address them
Data Guard Implementation, Monitoring & Administration
OEM Agent Installation, Upgrade and Administration
Installation of Webserver related to DB technology (Oracle version of Apache etc.)
Create and maintain database partitioning
ASM - Administration (Limited to Support and utilization of tool for DB management after KT)
Oracle Data Mining - Administration: -Granting privileges to create/use data mining models. Export/import of data mining models.
Setting up example schema for data mining.
Oracle Server - Scripting and Automation
Validation Management using QDCS process
Follow Validation Protocol - ISQA requirements
Database Configuration Management
Define standard database configurations to meet customer s various computing environment requirements
Maintain documentation of servers and database configurations
Maintain documentation to reflect changes in requirements
Continually update and maintain the database for additions, changes
configurations and CUSTOMER approved configurations ( e.g. version control)
Maintain previous working state for database configurations for
Configure the database so that applications software can perform per service levels
Confirm standards are consistent with approved architectures

Evaluate any required non-standard products per business requirements

Monitor Compliance of license agreements
