We are seeking a skilled and experienced L2 LAN/WAN Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organizations LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle technical tasks, provide support, and collaborate effectively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Administration: Manage and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, providing L2 support and escalating to L3 when necessary.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and processes to ensure the health, performance, and security of the network. Optimize network performance and resource utilization.
• Security Management: Ensure network security by applying necessary patches and updates, managing access controls, and monitoring for security breaches.
• Backup and Recovery: Manage backup processes and procedures for network configurations to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular tests of disaster recovery plans.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support of new and existing network services.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in network administration, specifically LAN/WAN environments.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining network devices (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls).
• Experience with network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, and other networking technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
• Knowledge of security best practices for network infrastructure.
• Understanding of QoS and network traffic management.
