Position Overview:

The Quality Manager for Radiology is responsible for ensuring high-quality standards and regulatory compliance within the radiology department. This role involves overseeing quality improvement initiatives, conducting audits, implementing patient safety protocols, and ensuring that radiology practices meet the required accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs to monitor the performance of radiology services.
• Conduct regular audits of radiology practices to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Review and analyze clinical data to identify areas for quality improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with national and international accreditation standards (e.g., ACR, ISO, JCI).
• Oversee the preparation for accreditation and inspection visits from regulatory bodies.
• Monitor adherence to safety guidelines and infection control protocols within the radiology department.
• Training and Education:
• Provide ongoing training and education to radiology staff regarding quality improvement processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct workshops and seminars to promote best practices in radiology.
• Risk Management:
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to patient care in the radiology department.
• Investigate incidents or adverse events and lead efforts to prevent future occurrences.
• Patient Safety:
• Implement strategies to enhance patient safety during radiological procedures.
• Track and report any issues regarding patient safety, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate regularly with department leadership regarding quality metrics, performance outcomes, and areas of concern.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Collect, analyze, and report quality data to senior management.
• Prepare regular reports outlining quality performance, including any initiatives and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Certification in Radiology or Quality Management (e.g., ARRT, CQIA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a radiology department with a focus on quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable improvement plans.
