Job Description:
Position Title: Head of Human Resources
Location: Hyderabad
Job Type: Full-time
Position Summary:
The Head of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The Head of HR provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and the board of directors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand the organization's goals and develop HR plans to support them.
2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Develop strategies for talent management, succession planning, and workforce development.
3. Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee grievances, mediate disputes, and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies.
4. Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure the organization complies with all employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
5. Performance Management:
- Implement performance appraisal systems and ensure regular performance reviews.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management issues.
6. Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and manage compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
7. Training and Development:
- Oversee the development and implementation of training programs.
- Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and leadership programs.
8. HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor HR metrics and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities and outcomes to senior management.
9. Change Management:
- Lead HR aspects of organizational change initiatives.
- Support employees and managers during periods of change.
10. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the HR department's budget.
- Ensure cost-effective HR operations and initiatives.
11. Technology and Systems:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR systems and technologies.
- Leverage HR analytics and tools to enhance HR functions.
12. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and develop the HR team.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the HR department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HR software and analytics tools.
- HR certification is a plus.
