Role Description:
- This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager HR + IR at Hartex Rubber Pvt. Ltd in Hyderabad.
- The role involves overseeing human resources management, policies, employee relations, and human resource development on a day-to-day basis with involvement in key IR matters.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude in problem solving for the long term
- Experience in Human Resources (HR) Management and HR Policies
- Knowledge of Human Resource Development strategies
- Strong skills in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and Union Management
- Knowledge of Labour Laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor's degree or MBA or PGDM in HR + IR
- Relevant certifications in HR management
- English, Hindi and Telugu written + oral proficiency
- Will be responsible for overall HR and IR Functions in Head Office and Plant locations situated at Hyderabad & Ludhiana.
- Daily focus would be 75% on HR and 25% on IR.
HR and Talent Management:
- Optimise and scale the overall team and process for recruiting transformational talent, including team structure, candidate evaluation processes, interview best practices, candidate follow-up, recruiting KPIs and their continuous improvement to drive the growth strategy.
- Build a strong performance-oriented work culture by defining key performance metrics and performance goals with a defined Accountability-Responsibility Matrix.
- Promote the company to be a preferred place to work and maintain it as a top choice for applicants.
- Take ownership on the retention of key personnel of the organisation and proposing methods to do so effectively.
- Keep abreast with latest industry trends and best practices, ensuring optimal performance of the HR department, which in turn influences the performance of the various departments and the business at large.
- Drive training/development, adjustment, monitoring and improvement of HR programs and trigger adjustments in case of changing business conditions.
- Propose new policies and initiatives that would benefit the overall working environment and condition for the employees.
- Drive continued and informative communication and feedback to employees to increase engagement and understanding of the organisation's objectives and goals.
- Advise on salary and compensation structural changes for the Group companies as per tax structure from time to time.
- Take on the financial responsibility for setting the budgets and creating new policies of the department
- Drive the HR Strategy through IT systems and processes to encourage a process driven organisation with automation.
- Oversee implementation and upkeep of social compliance norms and certifications as required by the company's various customers and manages such interaction with the relevant external parties (including customers and their representatives) and the relevant factory teams to achieve these goals.
- Administrate: upkeep office premises, track/oversee legal matters (even non-IR), review contracts in collaboration with procurement department related to the premises, or any licenses/registrations as well.
Industrial Relations:
- Administrate: Time Office Control, Absenteeism Control, Wage Administration, Workmen Grievances, Disciplinary action, Domestic enquiry, Workmen Canteen, Housekeeping & Security Administration.
- Legal: Contract Labour matters, Negotiation with Union, Attending Conciliation Proceedings and Industrial Relations matters referred to Tribunal & Labour Court, Liaison with central & State Govt.
Agencies, Compliance of Industrial Laws, Disciplinary Procedure with the Provision of the Standing Order.
- Liaising: Pollution Department, Labour Department, Explosive Department, Fire Department, Factories Department, ESI Office, PF Office, Employment Exchange Department, Contract labor (R&A)/Minimum Wages/Payment of Wages Authorities/ACL/DCL/JCL.
Contractor compliance:
- Governing Body (Gram Panchayat, Tahsildar, District Collector, Municipal Corporation) Police Station
- Reporting and Advisory: Preparation & Presentation of accurate information to the management in terms of statutory/legal compliance, Legal Cases & IR situations at plants.
- Sensitising the Management proactively on Industrial Relations at plants
