Design Engineer/Sr Design Engineer - Plastic | Mumbai | Milton

Milton is looking for a Design Engineer and Sr Design Engineer for the Mumbai, Kandivali location.

• Work Mode: Work from Office
• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (with the 2nd and 4th Saturday off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design products based on brief inputs and selected concepts.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design and Product teams to develop concepts and ensure manufacturability.
• Develop rapid prototypes and use machine shop tools proficiently.
• Communicate designs effectively through CAD and present to cross-functional teams.
• Work with engineering and customer functions to create solid models, assemblies, and detailing using SolidWorks.
• Create BOM (Bill of Materials), draft 2D drawings, cut sections, and conduct part inspections.
• Participate in the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept to part realization.
• Maintain document control and manage design changes.
• Lead design processes, drive decisions, and track issues.

Competencies/Skills:

• Education: BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 2D drawing skills.
• Proven ability to create 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Excellent skills in plastic part design.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and networking skills.
• Experience in injection and blow moulding, sheet metal, and rubber parts.
• Quick thinker, problem solver, and good communicator.
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.

Experience:

• Should have 1+ years of experience for Design Engineer.
• Should have 3+ years of experience for Sr Design Engineer.
