KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing quarterly advance tax computation and annual tax return
• Tax audits, TP audits and support in statutory/internal audits
• Preparing submissions for all assessments handled in-house and appearing independently before tax office upto Commissioner (Appeals) level, physically or virtually, as the case may be, including rectifications and penalty
• Working with counsels on appeals and litigation before DRP, ITAT, HC and SC
• day to day business advisory on direct tax matters relating to corporate and international taxation • Keeping management and larger Finance team posted on developments in tax laws, rulings, annual budget etc.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual tax closing and preparing tax packs, including deferred tax computation.
• Maintaining track of all stays of demand and pursuing refunds
• Supporting TDS compliance team with technical query response.
• Supporting Tax head with tax research on technical positions and special projects relating to mergers and acquisitions, internal and external restructuring etc.
• Reviewing TP study, collating audit evidence and revisiting inter company agreements from time to time.
• Tax accounting and GL reconciliation of open line items pertaining to tax provisions and receivables
• Ensuring all tax records are duly updated and litigation tool is up-to-date at all times.

Education Qualification:

• 8-12 years of experience
• Chartered Accountant
• Thorough hands-on experience in direct tax in a leading corporate (preferably MNC) or consulting (preferably Big 4), ideally a mix of both would be an advantage.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and take initiative.
• Open to travel at least once a month domestically and on need basis internationally
