Job Description
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the assigned region by developing and implementing effective sales strategies. They will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving sales growth
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in sales, preferably in the pet food or related industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of pet food industry, pet products, and market trends
- Ability to analyze market data and make data-driven decisions
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets in the assigned region
- Manage a team of sales representatives and provide guidance and support to achieve individual and team objectives
- Identify new business opportunities and potential customers to expand market presence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify market opportunities and risks
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance and make informed decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, production, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of sales activities
- Stay updated with industry developments, product knowledge, and market trends to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the sales team
