Security Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect the organizations assets, systems, and data.
• Align security initiatives with organizational goals and ensure effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Provide strategic direction on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC):

• Establish and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Oversee audits and ensure adherence to industry standards,such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.]

Security Operations Management:

• Lead and manage the Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.
• Ensure the deployment and maintenance of advanced security tools and technologies.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat intelligence programs.

Incident Management and Response:

• Develop and maintain incident response plans to address cybersecurity threats effectively.
• Lead forensic investigations and post-incident reviews to identify root causes and improve security measures.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Build and manage a high-performing security team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure a unified approach to security

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Communicate security risks, incidents, and strategies to the executive leadership and board of directors.
• Act as a key advisor on all security-related matters for the Organization.
• Partner with external vendors and industry peers to strengthen the organizations security posture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and technologies.
• Strong expertise in risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in incident management, forensic analysis, and threat intelligence.

Preferred Certifications:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
