US Healthcare Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist has a key role in our placement process as they are responsible for credentialing new and established health care providers - which includes the data collection, data entry and document review and verification. This is a full-time opportunity based in India that will have a schedule that will be worked out between the selected team members and their US-based supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Serves as liaison between Lead Health internal and external employees, client facilities and VMS partners.
2. Responsible for pre-employment drug testing and health requirements in accordance with regulations and company policy.
3. Maintains database for all employee credentials.
4. Immediately reports to the appropriate people i.e. Director of Compliance and HR any test results needing special attention i.e positive drug screens, so that each such instance is handled legally & appropriately with the applicant.
5. Conducts post-offer, pre-employment background screenings in a timely manner, promptly reporting to the appropriate persons any background data needing special attention and handling.
6. Ensure copies of proper licenses and other required documents are present in employee's files prior to employee starting.
7. Completes compilation of new hire hard-copy files or uploads to appropriate systems; audits for accuracy and completeness.
8. Notifies employee of pending expiration of credentials.
9. Once credentials have expired, compliance deems them non-compliant and removes them from the schedule until compliant.
10. Ensures that all required documentation is complete in all employee files and completes audits as needed per facility, Atlas and JCAHO standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

• Prior healthcare staffing compliance experience with a US-based staffing agency or offshoring firm; ideally with experience effectively navigating various VMS portals including, but not limited to: AyaConnect/Lotus, B4Health, Fieldglass, Medefis, Nexus, Optimizer, ShiftWise, Wand, Workforce
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Excel and other office procedures and terminology.
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
• Excellent organizational/time management skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts and activities accurately and effectively.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
