Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Professional with expertise in Policy Underwriting, Claims Management, and Risk Analysis. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience working in the insurance sector, with a proven track record of managing policy underwriting processes, handling claims, and conducting risk analysis. This is a contract-based position with a potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Underwriting:
• Assess and evaluate insurance applications, determining eligibility, coverage, and terms based on underwriting guidelines.
• Review, analyze, and approve/reject policy applications while considering risk factors and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure clear communication regarding underwriting decisions.
• Claims Management:
• Process and manage insurance claims, including reviewing documentation, liaising with claimants, and making decisions on payouts.
• Investigate and assess claims to determine validity, conducting interviews with involved parties and gathering necessary evidence.
• Ensure claims are processed efficiently, adhering to policy guidelines, timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and third-party service providers to resolve claims issues.
• Risk Analysis:
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks for policyholders and the company.
• Analyze historical data and trends to make data-driven decisions on underwriting and claims management.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize losses and improve profitability.
• Prepare reports on risk exposures and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• General Responsibilities:
• Stay updated with the latest regulations, insurance products, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on policy underwriting, claims management, and risk analysis.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, policies, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for risk assessment and claims management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
• Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
