Job Title: Quality Analyst for Application Development [ GTS JC: GTS2505212]

• CND-based location: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, or Pune (any one of the mentioned locations)

Job description:

As a Quality Analyst for Application Development, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications by collaborating closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and the development team. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, creating detailed test cases, performing functional and non-functional testing, and driving continuous quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Requirements Analysis:
  Collaborate with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to review and analyze detailed requirements for application development projects
• Test Strategy and Planning:
  Develop comprehensive test strategies, including defining test objectives, test plans, and acceptance criteria
• Test Case Design and Execution:

Create and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Defect Management:
  Identify, report, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution by the development team
• Collaboration and Communication:
  Act as a liaison between the QA team, developers, and project managers to ensure clarity in requirements, testing processes, and timelines
• Automation Testing (Optional):
  If applicable, design and implement automated test scripts using relevant tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Change Management: Assist in developing change management strategies to facilitate the smooth adoption of new applications and systems
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, QA best practices, and adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance the overall quality of application development
• Support Change Management:
  Work closely with the Change Management team to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new applications and updates

Skills

Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in quality analysis or quality assurance for application development or software projects

Technical Proficiency

• Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
• Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Postman, or similar
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for data validation and testing
• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to identify edge cases and complex scenarios
• Ability to think critically and provide actionable feedback to improve application quality
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with QA processes, tools, and best practices in ensuring application quality

Education and Certification

• Bachelors or Master degree in IT discipline
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.

• Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements, developing test cases, and providing accurate effort estimates
• Maintain a proactive approach in identifying and mitigating risks related to application quality
• Support both functional and non-functional testing to ensure robust and scalable applications
• Stay updated on industry trends, QA methodologies, and emerging tools to drive innovation in testing practices
