Job Overview:
- As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the company, overseeing financial controls, and working closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategies that align with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial operations, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the company's financial health and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff, providing guidance and support to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax filings and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
- Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and optimize the company's financial performance.
- Develop and maintain financial controls to safeguard the company's assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, sales, and HR, to ensure financial alignment with business strategies.
- Assist with financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial insight to assist management in decision-making, including cost analysis, investment opportunities, and budget management.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master's or CPA designation is a plus).
- 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles (GAAP), and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive business objectives.
- Experience with financial audits and tax filings is preferred.
