Job Description
The O&M Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities of the company s facilities, infrastructure, or assets. This role ensures optimal performance, compliance with safety regulations, and efficient resource utilization while reducing downtime and operational costs. The O&M Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and safety departments, to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage the operations of plant facilities, machinery, or infrastructure.
- Ensure that operations run smoothly, with minimal downtime, and are aligned with the company s strategic goals.
- Monitor operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Maintenance Strategy:
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and servicing of all equipment.
- Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the operations and maintenance team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure team members follow safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of operational and maintenance activities.
- Address and resolve any safety issues or hazards identified during inspections.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze operational data and maintenance logs to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to improve maintenance processes
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on operations and maintenance performance, including equipment status, downtime, and cost analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and operational metrics.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to upper management.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure the timely delivery of services.
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and maintenance management, preferably in Telecom Industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to analyze operational data and prepare reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
