Web QA Engineer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Web QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our web applications and devices (end-to-end) through a combination of manual testing and automated test scripts. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and engineering teams to design test plans, identify defects, and ensure that new features meet high-quality standards before release.

Essential Qualifications

• 2-5 years of proficiency in manual testing techniques across different browsers and devices.
• 2-5 years of experience with web automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, including knowledge of programming languages like TypeScript or Python for script development.
• Ability to design comprehensive test cases covering various scenarios and edge cases
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) to report and manage bugs effectively.
• Experience executing test plans using TestRail or other test tracking tools.
• Knowledge of one or more continuous integration pipeline software products such as Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI, etc

What You Might Do

Manual Testing

• Execute detailed manual test cases covering various functionalities like user interface, data validation, regression testing, and usability across different browsers and devices.
• Report bugs accurately, including detailed descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by existing test cases.

Automation Testing

• Design and develop automated test scripts using appropriate automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright) to test web application features.
• Create and maintain automated test suites for regression testing and continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
• Identify areas suitable for automation and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot automation script failures.
