Lead DevOps Engineer

Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules’ firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, with 8+ years of relevant experience, to join our project. For this role, you are required to have good hands on experience of cloud infrastructure, devops best practices and CI/CD build, validation, deployment and automation processes. You will be directly working with developers, QA, security teams to build and deploy optimized, scalable and secure application environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Cloud Platform Experience: Proficiency in AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• CI/CD Tools: Strong experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux), or similar tools.
• Configuration Management: Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Containerization: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, plugins and networking.
• Security: Understanding of security principles and best practices in a DevOps environment.
• Version Control: Working experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar version control tools.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Good to have skills:

• Microservices Architecture: Working experience with principles of microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication.
• Monitoring and Observability: Hands on experience with DataDog, Sumologic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or similar tools.
• Certifications: Relevant certification is DevOps space from AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Programming: Experience with .Net application environments and programming languages like C#, javascript.

Key responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure: Build, deploy and automate highly scalable and secure multi environment cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application lifecycle management.
• Infrastructure Automation: Utilize IaaC to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment and have good knowledge of IaaC tools.
• Monitoring and Observability: Monitor system performance and setup proactive monitoring and leveraging telemetry data to detect anomalies, identify potential issues before user impact and maintain high availability.
• Security: Implement security best practices and implement guardrails to ensure compliance adherence.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with developers, QA and operations team to ensure reliable system performance and implement development best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, systems, and configurations.
