OverView :

The F&B Manager will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations at Glendale Academy, ensuring high-quality service, compliance with health standards, and customer satisfaction. The role involves managing cafeteria staff, planning nutritious and balanced menus, maintaining budgets, and fostering a welcoming dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibility :

Operations Management:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the school cafeteria, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
2. Ensure all food and beverages served meet high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
3. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food safety and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements.
4. Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.

Menu Planning and Nutrition:

1. Collaborate with dietitians or nutritionists to create balanced, nutritious, and age-appropriate menus for students and staff.
2. Regularly update menus to include seasonal or diverse cuisines while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
3. Ensure the availability of healthy snack options alongside regular meals.

Team Management:

1. Recruit, train, and manage cafeteria staff, including cooks, servers, and support personnel.
2. Schedule shifts, assign duties, and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient service delivery.
3. Foster a positive team culture and resolve any staff issues promptly.

Budget and Inventory Management:

1. Plan and manage the food and beverage budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
2. Track expenses, control waste, and minimize food costs.
3. Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and supplies while avoiding overstocking or shortages.

Customer Satisfaction:

1. Interact with students, parents, and staff to gather feedback and continuously improve the dining experience.
2. Address complaints or issues related to food quality, service, or cleanliness in a timely manner.
3. Create a warm, welcoming environment in the cafeteria, promoting a positive dining experience.

Compliance and Safety:

1. Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, including regular audits and inspections.
2. Conduct periodic training for staff on hygiene, safety protocols, and allergen management.
3. Stay updated on health regulations and implement necessary changes promptly.

Event Support:

1. Manage food and beverage arrangements for school events, meetings, and celebrations.
2. Coordinate with event organizers to design menus and ensure timely service.

SkillsDescription :

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Certifications in Food Safety, HACCP, or FSSAI compliance are preferred.

Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in F&B management, preferably in institutional catering or hospitality.
• Experience in managing large-scale food operations or school cafeterias is an advantage.

Skills:
