Job Summary:

GiftAbled Foundation is looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to join our team in Balrampur. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and providing therapeutic services to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals of all ages to improve their speech and language abilities, helping them lead more independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in patients of varying age groups.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and treatment objectives.
• Provide speech therapy interventions to help improve articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and social communication.
• Implement various speech and language therapies, including speech exercises, communication training, and voice therapy.
• Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Work with children and adults who may have difficulties with speech, language development, cognitive-communication disorders, or swallowing issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech-related conditions and strategies to enhance communication at home.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations.
• Provide training and workshops to caregivers and family members to improve their understanding and support for the patient.
• Stay up to date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in speech therapy.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field (B.S.L.P or M.S.L.P).
• Valid and active certification with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) or equivalent body.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders, with a focus on both pediatric and adult populations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, with a commitment to helping individuals achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and tools.
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans based on patient assessments and needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when documenting progress and treatment plans.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech delays, or learning disabilities.
• Knowledge and experience with voice therapy, stuttering treatment, and language disorders.
• Familiarity with sensory processing disorders and the integration of speech therapy with other therapeutic modalities.
• Certification in specialized areas of speech therapy, such as pediatric speech therapy, dysphagia therapy, or fluency disorders.
