Operations & Maintenance Head - Solar

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and monitor operational processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
3. Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
4. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime.
5. Supervise the maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities to extend lifecycle and enhance performance.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
7. Manage spare parts inventory, contracts, and relationships with external service providers.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop the operations and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence.
9. Conduct regular training programs to ensure the team is updated on technical skills, safety, and operational standards.
10. Facilitate communication across teams to align efforts and resolve operational challenges effectively.
11. Collaborate with senior management to define and implement the operational strategy in line with business objectives.
12. Budget planning and control for operations and maintenance activities.
13. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across operations and maintenance functions.
14. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal standards, and company policies.
15. Promote a culture of safety, conduct regular safety audits, and enforce safety measures across the organization.
16. Investigate and resolve operational or safety incidents promptly and thoroughly.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 12 - 18 years of experience in operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of operations, maintenance processes, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and operational tools.
• Budgeting and resource management expertise.
