Civil Design Engineer- EPC & BESS Project

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of EPC and BESS projects. The candidate will be responsible for structural and civil design aspects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering:

• Develop civil and structural designs for BESS and EPC projects, including foundations, site layouts, roads, drainage, and other infrastructure.
• Perform load calculations, structural analysis, and geotechnical assessments to ensure stability and durability.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and structural analysis software.
• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams for seamless integration of BESS systems.

Project Coordination:

• Work closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to review and approve civil/structural designs.
• Assist in site feasibility studies, including soil testing, topographical surveys, and hydrology analysis.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including site visits and inspections.
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier drawings and calculations.

Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, international standards (ACI, AISC, IS, Eurocodes, etc.), and safety regulations.
• Prepare and review civil BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability requirements in civil works.

Risk Management & Optimization:

• Identify risks and constraints related to site conditions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Optimize designs to reduce material costs, improve constructability, and enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3-10 years of experience in civil/structural design for EPC, renewable energy, or BESS projects.
• Experience in foundation design, site grading, and geotechnical engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of GIS tools and geotechnical analysis software is a plus.
• Familiarity with battery storage projects, substation civil design, and renewable energy infrastructure is preferred.
