Demand Planning/ Demand Planner role - SCM

Inviting applications for the role of Demand Planner/ Demand Planning!

• Understand variability of product categories and develops robust set of corresponding statistical models
• Develops statistical processes to support development of long range plans
• Develop demand plans at the division, product, and location level
• Conducts trend analyses and facilitates discussions with marketing and sales to drive consensus
• Facilitates demand review and consensus meetings and supports development of Sales and Operations Planning decks
• Utilizes accuracy and bias results to improve site level forecasts
• Analyzes and reviews the divisional demand plans with Finance, Marketing and Sales
• Ensures demand alignment with long term strategic plans
• Provide optimization of costs and service in support of company profitability plans.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning process and S&OP
• Should have functional experience in forecasting tools & statistical forecasting techniques
• Strong Supply Chain analytical capabilities with skills in Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning
• Good statistical knowledge
• Development of demand planning response to customer / product segmentation to maintain and/or improve forecast accuracy
• Demand Sensing
• Add impacts of seasonal and LTO (limited time offer) demand to the forecast based on the inputs received from the business
• Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• The resource would be part of the Demand Planning team and would be independently handling

• Perform monthly and quarterly statistical forecasting and perform various relevant analysis & reporting as required by business time to time

• Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach towards optimizing inventory and their distribution

• Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy

• Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future

• Indicate trend changes and exceptions on case-to-case basis and escalate appropriately.

• Ensuring and driving the upkeep and maintenance of process documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems by the team

• Report/communicate to management/stakeholders on pre-decided rhythm dashboards on inventory targets (including safety stock levels) and forecast errors, service levels and order optimization that are approved by management.

• Suggesting ideas to improve existing process

• Support team in adhoc requests/statistical analysis/reporting and projects

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors or master’s degree in degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related field, with years of statistical forecasting and supply chain experience SAP or other ERP/APS software experience
• Effective interpersonal and verbal/oral skills
• Self-starter with independent work ethic and react quickly to priorities.
• experience in Demand Planning
• Professional certification preferred. (e.g., APICS)
• Knowledge of any of the ERP & Planning systems like SAP, JDA BY, APO, Kinaxis etc.
• Statistical Forecasting and Model development
• Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution and customer service
• Strong written, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Sales and Marketing functions preferred
• Experience in Integrated Business Planning
• Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint (Access preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel required
• Strong Administrative skills and attention to detail
• SAP or related systems experience preferred
• Experience with advanced ERP planning systems (BW, SAP, APO) preferred

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Supply Chain related experience in Demand Planning, preferably in CPG/Consumer goods company
• Knowledge of Analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau
