Job Description
Purpose of the role
Supply chain analytics group is responsible for delivering the solutions and developing the capabilities which enables better decision-making in supply chain. This team works closely with all supply chain functions (i.e. plan, source, make, deliver and customer service teams), business units and other cross functional partners for developing solutions to drive business value.
This team also drives step-change innovation and improvements in business practices by delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and supply chain expertise.
This role is in the Digital Manufacturing analytics team that supports the Manufacturing and Engineering teams by developing advanced analytics solutions to identify and analyze opportunities corresponding to manufacturing performance, HMM, human safety and food safety. The primary responsibilities of this job are to develop innovative solutions by leveraging analytics techniques like descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive modeling, statistical analysis and operations research techniques. This is an individual contributor role that includes project lead responsibilities, stakeholder management, project management, coaching and mentoring the analysts in the team.
The individual needs to have a strong problem solving mindset. The kinds of problem statements that we get in this role need strong analytical knowledge, understanding the various manufacturing and plant floor problems and developing sustainable solutions for the same. Choosing the right technique for the right problem is critically important. The solution base may range from descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive analytics. Hence, and indepth understanding of various analytics methods is necessary and along with an end to end solutioning mindset.

Key Accountabilities
Strategic Responsibilities (20% of Time)
Providing thought leadership, critical thinking, problem solving and delivering solutions
Drive the creation and management of Data Science roadmaps for team aligning with business goals
Understand and lead analysis of business priorities, user needs and competitive landscape in prioritizing work
Continuously Enhance/Improve & Standardize the process to drive better results
Contribute to develop a detailed SOP & Onboarding of the process
Analytics Models design, development & Improve (35% of Time)
Understand the business problem
Work with the scrum master to put together the team, project timelines and user stories
Lead Team to execute projects/use cases
Execute Complex use cases
Descriptive / Diagnostic / Predictive / Prescriptive Model design
Effectively review and deploy results to stakeholders using effective visualizations. Working with other data analysts, data scientists and visualization analysts in the team to achieve the same
Perform automated testing on the models
Support bug fixes/enhancements on existing models
Output (25% of Time)
Story Telling
Reviewing Outputs and guiding team towards effective explanation to present to Stakeholders
Provide actionable insights to the stakeholders using the appropriate tools effective presentations, visualizations.
Sustain the models by effectively using DevOps/MLOps and necessary documentation
Deployment and Sustained support for all the applications
Training / Knowledge (20% of Time)
Mentor & train team members on data preparation, diagnostics, predictive analytics, R, Python and Manufacturing analytics
Process standardization and documentation
Working on Individual development plans
Minimum Qualifications
- Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory).
- Total analytics experience required 7-9 Years.
- 4+ years of related experience
- Experience in predictive forecasting, market mix modelling, linear optimization, network optimization in marketing analytics or supply chain analytics
- Technical understanding of cloud and ability to utilize data from a variety of data sources like big query, flat files, cloud storage.
- Understanding of data warehousing & databases is critical.
- Number sense, ability to identify questionable data, dig in & address it
- Understanding / experience of CPG industry is desirable.
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and/or Spark a plus
- Bias for action with ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization & time management.
- Exemplary organizational skills with attention to detail & accuracy
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to understand business use case and convert into data science problem.
- Ability to explain model output to business and why should they trust in the model.

- Master s degree
- 6+ years of related experience
- Major Area of Study in any of the below
- Masters in Analytics
- Masters in Statistics
- Experience working on MLOps & GCP.
