Position Overview:
The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the production and maintenance processes. This role ensures that machinery and equipment operate efficiently, production targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and cost-effectiveness is maintained. The Technical Manager will lead a team, implement technical strategies, and resolve operational challenges to drive productivity. He is also responsible for driving innovation and overseeing the development of new products from concept to market launch. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D, marketing, production, and sales to ensure that new products meet market needs, align with company objectives, and are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a proactive individual capable of balancing technical expertise with leadership to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Experience:
a) 12 to 15 years of experience in Paper Cup Industry.
b) At least 5 years of experience in Managerial Capacity
Qualification:
a) BE Mechanical Engineering Regular
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Oversight:
a) Manage daily operations of the manufacturing process to ensure timely and quality production of paper cups.
b) Monitor production schedules and address any deviations or bottlenecks.
c) Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
2. Machinery and Equipment Management:
a) Supervise installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery (e.g., cup forming machines, printing machines, and die-cutting machines).
b) Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
c) Identify and procure necessary tools, parts, and equipment.
3. Quality Control:
a) Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure paper cups meet specifications and customer requirements.
b) Analyse and resolve quality issues related to materials, production processes, or machinery.
4. Process Improvement:
a) Evaluate current production techniques and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
b) Stay updated on the latest technology trends and implement upgrades where necessary.
5. Strategic Planning:
a) Develop and implement new product development strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market trends.
b) Identify opportunities for innovation, market expansion, and product improvement.
6. Product Conceptualization:
a) Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
b) Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize and define product ideas, features, and specifications.
7. Project Management:
a) Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to market launch.
b) Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
c) Monitor progress and address risks or roadblocks to ensure timely delivery.
Key Skills:
a) Should be highly conversant with paper cup production, planning, process optimization and quality.
b) Leadership and team management.
c) Creativity, problem-solving and analytical thinking.
d) Strong technical understanding of production machinery.
e) Proficiency in production.
f) Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
