Job Description

Job Description Summary Responsible for GE Power Conversion India Mumbai Regional Sales Manager including the Application engineering for all segments for customer needs in Metals Oil Gas Marine Power Water etc. Customer facing staff role responsible for winning business. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service quality and timeliness subject to Commercial Priorities. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute commercial arrangements. High levels of commercial judgment and influencing with technical competencies are required to achieve outcomes required. Will spearhead a functional team in support to develop large deals with key accounts on a timely target plan by selling power electronics and rotating machines products and systems into segments like Metals Mining OG Marine etc.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Sales of MV Variable Speed drives MV Motors MV Generators Turkey Projects Customized Solution Sales or projects with design to commissioning responsibility on multiple segments.
  • Will be the National Sales Spearhead position with focus on all geographical regions (West and North India).
  • Requires specialized knowledge across product lines markets sales processes or customer groups. Requires commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory including control of resources and customer outcome discussions.
  • Requires the Systems Application Engineering for all segments like Metals Oil Gas Marine Power Water etc for customer application requirements.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends standard methodologies to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work. build long term relationships and build value based pipeline.
  • Uses high level of judgment while handling complex tasks or problems within projects product lines markets sales processes campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to partners or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a direction
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements risk and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Develops deep Connects with CXOs at key accounts in the area of work.
  • Should be comfortable working in a matrixed arrangement - working seamlessly with global and local cross functional stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Should be a BE/ BTech with at least 15 20 years of relevant sales/commercial experience in Tier 1 Organization in Electrical Machinery/ Power Electronics Segments. An MBA will be an added qualification.

  • Should have significant experience in the Sales Commercials with top industry customers at CXO decision making levels.

  • The person should have good oral and written communication skills should be able to collaborate and work with Cross functional teams

  • Should have demonstrated problem solving abilities Sales Marketing / Project Management.

  • Ability to document plan market and execute sales programs.

Desired Characteristics

  • Clear understanding of after sales market for electrical equipment like power electronic products automation and rotating machines. Should have customer connect in terms of pipeline generation proposal creation and order closures. Strong commercial mindset to drive discussions on deals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
