Manager - Reconciliation / R2R

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensuring team is :
• reconciling and reviewing General Ledger Accounts, Bank and Intercompany Accounts as per policy
• performs month end activities e.g. preparing and uploading journal entries, etc.
• Review and investigate reconciliation variances
• Management and clearing of Open items, including timely communication to stakeholders of aged open items
• Prepare and Approve complex Reconciliation Accounts
• Conduct regular calibration and refresher sessions
• Make sure process essential documents are up to date - SOP, Training Gantt and manuals, Error Log and other relevant documents
• Review Training need analysis both process and non-process related
• Foster Innovation and automation mindset within team
• Upskill team process knowledge and resolve process related queries
• Ensure financial integrity and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
• Partner with stakeholders across Divisional Financial Operations to improve financial and accounting accuracy
• Review and investigate reconciliation variances, assisting management to develop appropriate action plans addressing issues identified
• Provide support for internal and external audits including control walkthroughs, documentation support and inquiry response
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functionally to meet strict project execution deadlines
• Drive on-time, accurate & quality service delivery within agreed upon SLAs for assigned processes

Preferred candidate profile:

• Finance / Commerce graduate or post-graduate.
• 12 plus years of experience in R2R role managing multiple reconciliations like Bank, Intercompany, balance sheet, Fixed Asset, Payroll etc.
• Good working knowledge of accounting standards and month end close experience
• Experience in Process Improvement projects / initiatives in F&A
• Experience in leading and upskilling teams process knowledge and resolving process related queries
• Should be flexible to work in 1 pm - 10 pm, 2 pm - 11 am and 3 pm - 12 am working hours
