About Us:
- We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager and Podcast Producer with a demonstrated passion for podcasting.
- In this role, you'll take the lead in developing and executing social media strategies to promote our company podcasts, engage listeners, and build strong online communities.
- Your expertise in social platforms, podcast marketing, and audience growth will help us maximize the reach and impact of our audio content.
Key Responsibilities:
Podcast Promotion and Distribution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media campaigns tailored for podcast promotion across various platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
- Create engaging promotional assets like short audio teasers, visual clips, eye-catching graphics, and compelling captions.
- Strategically schedule and share podcast episodes, ensuring optimal timing and visibility.
- Collaborate with podcast hosts and guests to leverage their social networks for cross promotion.
Audience Engagement & Community Building:
- Actively engage with listeners across social media, responding to comments, fostering discussions, and addressing feedback.
- Run contests, polls, Q&As, and other interactive initiatives to increase listener engagement.
- Develop and nurture online communities centered around our podcasts, encouraging conversation and brand loyalty.
Content Creation & Repurposing:
- Repurpose podcast content into micro-content formats like quotes, short videos, and blog posts for social media.
- Create captivating social media posts that highlight key takeaways and insights from podcast episodes.
- Partner with the content team to develop blog posts and other supporting content based on podcast themes.
Social Media Analytics & Reporting:
- Track key social media metrics related to podcast promotion, including reach, impressions, engagement, and follower growth.
- Analyze data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and measure the success of podcast promotion efforts.
- Prepare regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Podcast Growth Strategy:
- Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms for podcast promotion.
- Research and identify influencers, communities, and potential collaborations to expand podcast reach.
- Experiment with innovative social media strategies to drive audience growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of proven experience in social media management, with a strong focus on podcast promotion.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and their algorithms.
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content for different social channels.
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools and reporting.
- Strong understanding of podcasting landscape, audience behavior, and promotional tactics.
Desired Skills (Mandatory):
- In-depth knowledge and experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in podcast production platforms (Anchor, Podbean, Spotify for Podcasters) for creating, editing, and distributing content.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to track engagement, reach, and effectiveness of social media campaigns.
- Expertise in graphic design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro) for creating visually appealing social media content and podcast visuals.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices for social media and podcast content to enhance visibility and engagement.
