Job Description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-commerce Technical Manager to lead and oversee the technical aspects of our online store. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and scalability of our e-commerce platform.

You will be responsible for managing the technical infrastructure, integrations, development, and maintenance of our online store, working closely with various teams to deliver a seamless and engaging customer experience. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices.

Responsibilities :

E-commerce Platform Management :

- Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of our e-commerce platform (i.e., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or custom platform).

-Ensure platform stability, security, and performance.

Technical Infrastructure Management :

- Manage the technical infrastructure supporting the e-commerce platform, including servers, databases, hosting environments, and CDN.

- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure optimal infrastructure performance and scalability.

Integrations Management :

- Manage integrations between the e-commerce platform and other systems, such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.

- Ensure seamless data flow and functionality between systems.

Development Oversight :

- Oversee the development and maintenance of the e-commerce website, including front-end and back-end development, API integrations, and custom features.

- Manage a team of developers or collaborate with external development agencies.

Project Management :

- Lead and manage technical projects related to the e-commerce platform, such as platform upgrades, new feature implementations, and system integrations.

- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Performance Optimization :

- Monitor and analyze e-commerce platform performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies.

- Focus on website speed, conversion rates, and user experience.

Security Management :

- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the e-commerce platform and customer data.

- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations (i.e., PCI DSS).

Vendor Management :

- Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing e-commerce related services, such as hosting providers, payment gateways, and development agencies.

Team Leadership (if applicable) :

- Lead and mentor a team of e-commerce developers and technical staff (depending on the organization's structure).

E-commerce Strategy :

- Contribute to the development of the overall e-commerce strategy, providing technical insights and recommendations.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends and technologies.

Analytics and Reporting :

- Work with analytics tools to track key e-commerce metrics and generate reports on platform performance, sales, and customer behavior.

- Use data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years (or specify desired range) of proven experience as an E-commerce Technical Manager or in a similar technical leadership role.

- Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms and technologies.

- Strong technical skills in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), server-side technologies (i.e., PHP, Java, Python), and database management.

- Experience with e-commerce platforms (i.e., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) is required.

- Knowledge of API integrations and web services (REST, SOAP).

- Experience with project management methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with performance optimization and security best practices for e-commerce websites
