General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Manager Construction to lead and oversee multiple construction projects, including cooling towers, buildings, and substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, financial oversight, team leadership, and client relations. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in construction planning, contract negotiations, safety compliance, and quality control. The GM will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, ensuring seamless execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee construction of cooling towers, buildings, and substations from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to optimize resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess project performance and compliance.

2. Financial & Contract Management

• Develop and manage project budgets, cost control, and procurement strategies.
• Optimize material, labor, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure timely billing, payments, and financial reporting for all projects.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, government bodies, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and manage expectations effectively.
• Represent the company in negotiations, project discussions, and strategic planning meetings.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Identify and implement training programs to enhance technical and managerial skills.

5. Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance

• Ensure strict adherence to construction laws, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce compliance with industry standards.
• Implement robust quality control measures to maintain high construction standards.

6. Specialized Project Management

• Cooling Towers: Oversee structural works, mechanical installations, and regulatory compliance.
• Buildings: Manage civil works, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) integration, and finishing standards.
• Substations: Handle civil construction, electrical installations, and regulatory clearances.
