Safety Supervisor

Job Summary: The Safety Steward is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe work environment on construction sites. This role involves monitoring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety training, and fostering a culture of safety among all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Monitoring: Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees, including new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Safety Policies: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Equipment Safety Checks: Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and available on site.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting drills and ensuring all personnel are familiar with procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
• Communication: Serve as the primary contact for safety-related issues, providing guidance and support to all site personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in safety management or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction industry or industrial.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.

Working Conditions:
