Deputy Project Manager

Role Summary: The Deputy Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction of high-rise buildings. This includes planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and within the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

• Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to finalize project details.
• Ensure resource allocation and availability for smooth project execution.

Site Supervision & Management:

• Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and plans.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and labor to maintain quality and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations at the construction site.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Act as the liaison between the Project Manager, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular meetings to track progress, address concerns, and facilitate decision-making.

Quality Assurance & Control:

• Implement quality management practices to ensure all work meets specified standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges in the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the team to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials, and financials.
• Prepare regular status reports for the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that the project complies with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with legal and regulatory authorities as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field. A masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in high-rise building projects.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of structural systems and MEP coordination.
