Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure that hiring decisions align with the division's goals.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for key roles within the division.
  • Address employee relations issues with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ensure effective communication between employees and management to promote a transparent and collaborative workplace.
  • Conduct & Monitor the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided.
  • Identify training needs for employees within the division and facilitate relevant training programs to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Promote continuous learning by recommending career development opportunities and cross-training programs.
  • Conduct safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are being followed within the division.
  • Maintain accurate Payroll data, Benefits data, attendance, performance metrics & Plant Operation metrics.
  • Provide regular HR reports to senior management on key metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment.
  • Communicate HR policies to employees and ensure adherence of policy guidelines.
  • Create and administer budgeting processes for HR functions.
  • Foster a positive work culture by serving as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of HR guidelines, labor laws, and industry-specific requirements.
  • 10-15 years of experience in HR, preferably in a core manufacturing (Continuous Process Industry) environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English & Tamil).
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations, recruitment, and performance management processes.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing-specific safety regulations and practices.
  • Experience with workforce planning and employee development in a production or industrial setting
