Power BI Developer

We are seeking a proficient Power BI Developer to join our team at Uphance. The ideal candidate will be an expert in creating comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards and will also act as the business analyst for the reporting segment of our application. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in Power BI and strong analytical skills to understand and translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.

Job Type: Contract/Remote/Full-Time/Long-term

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with the Uphance team to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for reporting.
• Design and implement standard reports for the Uphance team, while enabling ad hoc reporting capabilities for end users.
• Perform data analysis to support business decision-making and identify key insights.
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Implement security protocols within Power BI solutions, adhering to data governance and compliance standards.
• Provide technical support and training to Uphance team members and end users on Power BI features and functionalities.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, applying them to improve existing solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team to ensure reporting requirements are met effectively.
• Responsible for gathering requirements, talking to users if needed, ideation, and design.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Power BI development, data visualization, and business analysis.
• Should be able to share portfolios or past work like dashboards or visualizations.
• Strong understanding of Power BI features, including Row-Level Security and Application Lifecycle Management.
• Experience with data modeling, SQL, and database structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with business analysis and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

General Requirements:

• Availability to work during the IST working hours.
• Working experience or at least working knowledge of the Apparel, Fashion, or E-com industry.
• High-speed Internet and the ability to join technical video meetings during business hours.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of multi-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language and overall.
• Ability to collaborate and be a team player.

Compensation:

Salary Range: INR 15 LPA to INR 18 LPA (Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate)
