Responsibilities:

Database administration: Maintain, configure, patch and upgrade the MySQL & Maria DB database serverTroubleshooting: Resolve issues with the MySQL & Maria DB database, including performance issues, deadlocks, and blocking Security: Implement security controls, such as backup and disaster recovery strategies, to protect against unauthorized accessDocumentation: Write and maintain documentation for the database, including platform specifications and proceduresPerformance tuning: Optimize the performance of the database, including SQL queriesDatabase design: Design and create database objects, such as data tables, views, and stored procedures in MySQL & Maria DBData migration: Migrate data, including backing up, restoring, and recovering dataMonitoring: Monitor MySQL & Maria DB database for performance issues and potential threatsCollaboration: Work with development teams to support and promote products and featuresCommunication: Communicate with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and securityOptional Skills:Knowledge on either of the technologies MS-SQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle could be an added advantage.
